BuddyRides is a safe, convenient, reliable carpool program utilizing existing communities to help children get where they need to go.

As children, we waited at school for two hours for our parents to pick us up. We missed class because family friends forgot to pick us up. Our parents worked full time jobs and often struggled to provide transportation to help us get to school, sports practices, and doctors appointments during work days.

BuddyRides started as part of an entrepreneurship course by students who easily recalled the urgent, widely-shared need of parents who worry every day about the lack of reliable school transportation.

After interviewing parents, we found that school districts without bus systems struggle with this problem the most. We decided that safety, reliability, and convenience would become the pillars of our company. Our carpooling app and website will connect parents with reliable drivers in their area and enable them to safely and conveniently transport their children to and from school.
